So...blogger may just be my new best friend

Ok, so I know I already did a blog on this...but it ended up being a whole new blog post. Anyway I went back into myspace, was in there for just a second, jumped out and guess what? No multiple windows of myspace. Wow, was I happy about that. Anyway...I still need to find a more adult way of communicating with family and friends and I'm not quite sure how to do that, just yet. Give me time and I'll figure out something respectable.

Oh yeah, I failed to tell you...

One more thing I forgot to mention - I'm going to be a grandmother again, and I hope the grandkids know I prefer to be called Mama D, not grammy, granny or grandma...ick...those are such old names. While some of you may prefer grandma, that's all well and good, but not for this 21st century woman. Anyway, my middle daughter is about four months pregnant with her third child and my daughter in law is two months pregnant with her first. They found out yesterday that there is only one in there (she is a good candidate for twins as they run strong in her family). Christmas is less than a week away, there is no tree up (yet) and there are no gifts under the tree...oh wait, that's cuz the tree isn't up yet, duh! I am officially off for two weeks from work and from school (online college, that is) and I am looking forward to spending time sleeping in and not doing much of anything.

Life Changes

****UPDATE****

We are probably going to move after all. Probably in May '09 at the earliest. This is because we are finally ready to and things are changing enough that we can. Just needed to blog.

So...we didn't move after all. Things settled down (thank goodness). My in-laws are handling things on their own and we are in no rush to move up to Oregon where it is too cold and snowy for us.

Life in general

While it doesn't seem like things always go the way you want them to, I have always believed that things happen for a reason. We're supposed to be moving to Oregon in the next month or so, perhaps sooner. It is not a definate thing because the funds are not there. Who knows what tomorrow will bring. It's a wait and see kind of thing and I hate not knowing.

My friend April

Makes me giggle with her posts of knitting and elliptical machines. She makes these giantic cookies and then says she'll be spending 45 minutes on her elliptical machine. I don't own any gym equipment, nor do I plan to. Oh, I recently received a second-hand bicycle from a co-worker, but its not in working order, at least not right now. My dh has to get busy and pump up the tires (if they'll hold air), paint it purple (its green right now, and its a nice color and all, but not my color), and add baskets and bells and a light or two. Back to my friend April and her cookie baking and exercising, to say she's a fanatic about exercising, I'd have to say, not really, but she does know when she has reached her limit and must do something about it. I love her to pieces and I miss the heck out of her.

More blogging

So, I'm sitting here watching Funniest Home Videos and let me tell you there are some pretty funny ones out there. Not only am I watching t.v., but I'm trying to do some homework and I'm also listening to my daughter's giggling. She is so much fun to listen to and watch.

Wow, how things have changed

Ok. So, let's see...I found my way back, but only because I received an email reminding me that I'd even come here, way back in June (which, BTW) I didn't even remember what I'd written. Anyway, a lot has happened (changed) since that last blog. I am working full-time at my child's school as an ELL-IA and loving it. I started working there in February of '08 and am back there in my second year. I am also going to college online and have received my first 6 credits towards my Associates of Arts in Early Education. Actually, this is going towards my core credits since I have not attended college - or let's say I didn't have any credits that were transferrable and I had to start at ground zero. But, that's ok I will have the distinct pleasure of saying as an older mother I actually completed something I started. It'll take me roughly 4 years to get my Bachelor's, but hey, I'd be nearly 50 if I didn't. So...
